The internet has changed the way engineers find companies.  Gone are the days when you have a wall of catalogs to find a specific purchase component.  Occasionally it is nice to have a hard copy catalog to page through (especially if the company has a bad website) but 90 percent of the time I find myself using the internet to find products.  I have developed a list of internet explorer favorite bookmarks that engineers of many trades will find helpful.  You can download a file that will add the bookmarks to your internet explorer by importing them.  This purchase components list took me over 50 hours to develop.  For more information click here.

SOLIDWORKS 2007 INCLUDES SOME WELDMENT PROFILES IN THE SOLIDWORKS LIBRARY UNDER SOLIDWORKS CONTENT.  THE COLLECTION YOU CAN DOWNLOAD BELOW IS A MORE COMPLETE.

To install:
Browse to the folder that SolidWorks is pathed to for the weldment profiles. On my computer they are located here - C:\Program Files\SolidWorks\data\weldment profiles  It may be in a different location if you are using a network license. Rename the existing folder to - ansi inch OLD.  Extract the .zip file you downloaded from SANDigz.com.  Place the ANSI INCH folder from the .zip file into the same directory.  This directory now contains all your new weldment profiles.
